Whitehead's - East Yorkshire's first MSC certified Fish & Chip shop - is a stone's throw from the Yorkshire Coast at Trinity Road, Hornsea, near Hull, East Yorkshire. Whitehead's traditional Fish & Chip takeaway and comfortable wheelchair-friendly restaurant offers the choice of eating in seven days a week or taking away to enjoy at home or - like many of our customers - at the nearby beach. We're Hornsea's only Fish & Chip shop serving a wide range of gluten-free choices* to cater for people with allergies and food intolerances seven days a week. Book in advance to be sure of a table in Whitehead's restaurant, especially during fine weather (excludes bank holidays).

Geoff Whitehead is passionate about Fish & Chips and as well as being a Director of Whitehead's is a tutor at the National Federation of Fish Friers. "All our Fish & Chips are served fresh, for a taste the whole family want to come back for again and again," says Geoff. "We take great care in sourcing and cooking the finest ingredients; serving our new and familiar customers with a smile all year round."

We are East Yorkshire's first MSC certified fish and chip shop (MSC-C-53712-33) and offer top quality cod and haddock from our supplier, XpressFish, direct from Icelandic Thorfish vessels from waters certified as sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council.

The restaurant and takeaway cooking range is of the latest specification, having been installed during our takeaway refurbs. All our gluten-free foods are cooked separately: So whether you want gluten-free or not, taste the Whitehead's difference yourself as you enjoy your delicious fresh cooked Whitehead's Fish & Chips seven days a week!
